Beautiful Soul

Little girl don’t be afraid
I know it’s tough right now
but you will be okay

Even though she’s growing older
You can still see her beautiful soul
She can’t help but know that she’s lost in this cold
But she still has hope

She feels blinded by her scars
She expresses herself through her realistic heart
She’s still beautiful
She’s still feeling hope

You can’t help but see her beautiful soul
Words don’t cry
She still has the lovely Spirit inside

And she always feels something ravishing
It’s like an angel standing in light
She can see the world through it’s eyes

Pieces Together

It’s hard for your thoughts to be spoken
When deep inside you’re still broken
And you can’t put the pieces together

You just want to lock all the doors
You just can’t take it no more
You just want something better

Why should I be sorry for simple mistakes
There still rolling out of place
I don’t need no worries,
All they do is run away
Just like the things you promised me

And now I’m just thinking all these things
and my same past mistakes
I can’t hold it in for long

Why should I be sorry for simple mistakes
There still rolling out of place
I don’t need no worries,
All they do is run away
Just like the things you promised me

Empty Scars

Maybe this storm will cry
Maybe the stars will tell the moon goodbye
Maybe there is still a place in the universe
For the world to cover up its lies
But time does not stand still
And life just feels so real
Putting your feet off the ground
Hoping someday this world will turn around
So as I watch these days pass by
I can’t help but look up
And get lost in the sky
Maybe this place will find its heart
Or maybe I’ll find myself through these empty scars

Chains

Running free on the wind
Feet barely touching ground
Nothing keeping her down
Endless energy for an endless chase
Never stopping never slowing
Moving forwards never backwards
One day she starts to slow,
The ground she’s barely touched
Is now holding her back
Slowing her run to a stop pulling her to the ground,
Chains keeping her down.
Now for the first time she has no freedom.
Can no longer do as she wishes.
The simple gift she has always taken for granted is now gone.
Maybe as many days go by the chains will loosen allowing her to stand and maybe walk.
Perhaps one day she will have her freedom again,
Free to run with the wind again
Then maybe after that the chains will come again,
Stealing away her freedom.
Being careful when she is able to run again,
But on the ground chained hoping and waiting for her freedom .
Until then she waits.

Dark

Dark
Don’t close your eyes,
Or the darkness will over take
The darkness creeps up on you
Your fear, Your fear of the dark
What?
What did you say?
You’re not afraid of the dark?
Then why?
Why do you hide beneath the covers?
What is it you fear in the dark?
You fear what you cannot see?
What could be there
And what isn’t.
In the dark you cannot see;
In the dark you can hear and smell.
Hear the growls smell the swampy air
So that is what you fear
What hides in the night
When your nightmares come to life
At night in the dark,
The pitch black,
When you can’t see,
That is your fear of the dark.

Dream

In a room where you cannot see,
The light is what you need the most.
You can hear water,
The gentle splashing you cannot hear.
Only the rolling thunder of waves pounding rocks.
You can only imagine how far down to the rocks.
The soft padding of small paws probably a cat,
That thought is lost with a roar of the lion.
It’s now hot, so hot you think you’re burning
The rumbling beneath your feet,
You’re in a volcano. As it erupts all you feel is cold.
Now you’re in a blizzard frozen as ice
Your chattering teeth shaking body try to keep warm
When you feel your eyes close the feeling vanishes.
You’re in a bed where you can see.
Is this a dream or
Reality.

A Ripple

A ripple,
It spreads and grows.
A small action
For a bigger effect.
That sounds like something
Something we all know.
We can give it,
For a grand effect
We can receive it,
Which makes us feel full.
The ripples of our kindness,
Are amazing things.
If we all gave kindness
Our ripples would surround
And drown the world.
One splash and it would spread once more.

School Day

Pencil, Paper, binder, book,
Ticking clocks and ringing bells.
Loud hallways, quiet classrooms
People talking, people walking.
Rushing here and there,
Papers flying everywhere.
Trying to escape the bell
Getting homework done as well.
Ring.
Ring.
Was that the bell?
Yes, it was the bell.
Locks clicking
Lockers slamming
Running students
Catching buses
The day is done.
Time for Fun.

Last Moment

Broken shell,
Empty space,
I can’t see you
But you can see me.

Please come into my dark
And turn on the lights
Save me from my inner thoughts

As the clock winds down,
My time is stopping .
I can see your light,
Getting farther and farther away.

The closer I get
The dimmer you are,
Your light is dimming,
And I am fading.

The racing patterns slow,
Your face a blur,
Surrounded by white,
A light to the black I’m in.

Nothing can reach me now.
It all stops.

Broken

You look at me.
Eyes expecting.
You think I’m full.

I’m not.
I’m just an empty plate.
I’ve a crack down the middle.

What do you think I can hold?
I’m split. Yet you think I’m full,
I’m broken and useless.

A crack down the middle.
You still use me, even though I broke.
Everything just falls out.

One day you piece me together,
But I know I will just break.
You can’t fully repair something broken.

I’m a broken plate.
No matter how much you fix me,
I will always be broken.

With a crack down the middle,
Empty.
